Does anyone have a clue as to the identity of this chevron? It is 7-1/2 inches wide, eleven inches tall with dark forestry green bars of fine braid in worsted wool 3/4" wide, attached to a white muslin field with a true chain stitch at 16 stitches per inch on the face. Somewhat reminiscent of the 1867 U.S. Army Regimental Commissary Sergeant chevron. Removed from uniform to which it appears to have been hand sewn.
