My old hometown is making preparations to celebrate the bicentennial of its founding. As a part of its celebration the local historical society is celebrating certain themes each of the 5 years leading to the big celebration in 2006.
The 2005 year is dedicated to celebrating and memorializing the community veterans of all wars. As part of this I have volunteered to write a history and develop a website for the civil war veterans. Out of a community of 800; sixty or so served in various regiments throughout the war. One of our native sons died and is buried at Andersonville. I was wondering if any company members lived near or was planning a visit to Andersonville? If so, could anyone take a digital photo of a gravesite and email it to me??
Please let me know if anyone can help.
