[Civil War] British Army Telescopes (19thC)

Is a member with access to British Army specs (or information otherwise)able to provide specifications or description of the Mk I and Mk II "Signal Telescope" (TEL. SIG.)? Information on the later models (e.g., Mk III of WW I vintage)suggests that all of this entire line (discontinued in 1939) were similar, dating from about mid-1860s. I'd like to pin down the introductory date of this line of "marks." This was a three-draw, leather-covered 'scope, produced by Negretti & Zambra and British other manufacturers.
