Hello, Thank You for your response. I have done more research on Ohio and did find that several State Quartermaster Books are in the Collection of the Ohio State Historical Society that seem to list issues of clothing by Regiments. They are not on-line! That is the problem. I could travel there, and maybe I will. There seems to be a lack of any real research on Ohio Civil War uniforms except by Mr. Kochan and these were early Regiments, 1861, not 1862. I have their ordnance records by Regiment and this does cover 1861 and 1862. That I have. All I am trying to discover is did the Ohio troops wear four-button blouses and caps or hats or frock coats and caps or hats or jackets in some cases? We have the Ohio Zouave Regiments and for those I have a lot of notes. I have looked at a number of Regimentals and sadly many of them simply say, "we got our uniforms today-" with no descriptions or details. I am going through photographs of Regiments. They do show how some were uniformed in the Fall of 1861.
