Help! I have a numbered, hand colored picture that I hope to get some information about. Copyright is 1955, by The Company of Military Collectors and Historians, and has a seal in the upper right corner of the paper with the name "Strathmore". The title of the picture is....
"Tidballs Horse Battery",A Battery,2nd U.S. Artillery,1861
Gun Team, Number One Piece, Right Section
This picture is #35 of 100 prints, and is hand colored and signed by (and I'm not sure of the last name so humor me)
Harry C. Larta Jr.(??) Small cursive L with a g or c next to it on corner of picture.Four soldiers on horseback, charging ahead, one holding US flag.....
I can e-mail a photo, and any info is appreciated. The relative that owned it has passed away, and I am very curious about it. It looks like it could be an important piece of art to someone. Thank You!!!!!!
