I am trying to gain some idea of what uniforms were worn by the British army in their Perak, malaya, campaign of 1875 to 1876. It is a campaign which receives only cursory mention in the various histories of the Victorian "small wars" which I have consulted.
Are the British more likely to have been in red serge, or would khaki have replaced it? Is the headgear more likely to have been the pith helmet or the forage cap?
Thanks very much for any assistance on this matter.
