[WW II] US Armed forcces in Curacao ( Dutch West Indies)

Dear Sirs ,

This year the Maritime Museum in Curacao will host an exposition of Curacao during the second world .
Curacao is teh largest island of what is still known as the Netherlands Antilles . During the second world war teh territory was known as Dutch West Indies . In Curacao teh Shell owned and operated a huge oil refinery and in Aruba the Exxon operated another oil refinery .
In or around 1943 the US based US troops in Curacao and in Aruba and there is litle info on the island available about this period. All we have is some writing and a lot of tales from parents and people who lived in those days.
I know that ther is official records on teh subject because I have seen it but I do n ot know whre to find it .
Can yopu help me find official governement records documenting the presence and the activities of US forces in the Dutch CAribbean and in particular Curacao ?
I would very much appreciate your help .

Kind regards

Hensey Beaujon
