Don't know if it will help, but as MACV advisors assigned to the 21st ARVN Infantry in 1967, we wore their patch on the right breast pocket of our jungle fatigues. We also wore our equivalent ARVN rank insignia pinned to the front of our fatigues. The patches were commonly referred to as Brasso cans, as they bore a striking resemblance to that ubiquitous product from the days before subdued emblems. Hard to believe that was all nearly 40 years ago. Choi Oi!
