Two tunes come to mind. During WWII, when my father's unit (319th Medical Bn, 94th Infantry Division)passed in review the division band would play "THE OLD GREY MARE." Not the most inspiring bit of music, but more of a jab at the medics.
During the 1980's, I served with the 3rd Infantry Division and our division song was "DOGFACE SOLDIER". Written during WWII, the first verse went:
"I wouldn't give a bean to be a fancy pants Marine,
I'd rather be the dogface soldier that I am."
