[Civil War] California Volunteers, arms & equipage

I am trying to track down attributed California Volunteer uniforms, arms, and equipage in order to better document these oft'overlooked soldiers. Specimens and serial numbers of Sharps carbines (eg early-war companies were issued 1853 "slant breeches" in the 9,000-12,000 range) and Colt revolvers would help identify the models used--only sketchy info is currently available based on ordnance returns and a few provenienced artifacts. Please help me build this data base if you are aware of attributed arms and equipage. Of course, photographs of uniformed California Volunteer cavalry, infantry, and even artillery would be terrific--but these are exceeding rare for some reason (more than 15,000 Californians answered the call--8 regiments of infantry, 2 of cavalry, a battalion of lancers, a battalion of "Mountaineers," and even a couple of "Jackass Batteries"{mountain howitzers manned by infantry}).
