Look at the web site sent by jkr. Those tables aren't complete.

Between the Revolution and 1812, there were three important battles in the Indian Wars including two disastrous defeats for the United States.

I think there were 2000 US casualties in the Indian Wars.

Between the SpanAm and WW I the US was involved in combat in the China Relief Expedition, the Phillipine Insurection and two punitive expeditions in Mexico.

After WW I there two lengthy combat operations involving Marines in the Caribean.

You see, there are at some differing opinions about the information you seek.

Your quilt should reflect what you discover.
