I am working on diorama of battle of Savannah depicting freed Hatian slaves fighting next to regular Hatian French soldiers. I am probably taking a huge artistic license in doing this; however, the variations of skin colors and tones will make for a interesting diorama. The question is: during battle of Savannah did white Hatian soldiers fight along side with freed slave Hatian soldiers? If so, what color would the white soldiers' uniform facings be?
