[WW II] WW II

The design was originally used by the 84th Armored Rcn Bn, which had been activated 1 Jan 42 at Pine Camp, NY.; design approved Jan 43; unit redesignated 10 Sep 43 as 25th Cav Rcn Sqdn.

I am the past-president of the 94th Infantry Division Association. I am trying to find historical information for a Czech national on the 25th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, part of the 4th Armored Division during WW II, and later renamed the 25th Constabulary Squadron. The first sentence gives the origin of the Squadron.

I am also trying to obtain information of the Squadron's crest, an octopus holding an unidentified object in one of its tentacles, with the word "information" at the bottom of the crest. I can forward a picture of the crest to a responder if he requests it.
