[AmRevolution] Wyoming Massacre-numbers explanation?

There has been disparity of the numbers of Milita killed at Wyoming PA in July 1778-estimates range from 160 to over 340 to 360. Colonel Butler reported 227 scalps taken while there are 174 names on the Wyoming Monument. Col Denision reported 302 killed-of whom 268 were Privates. Of the 5 Wyoming Companyies enguaged totaled from 226 to 240; reportably at least an additional 100 men neither mustered nor enrolled also came along; which totals over 340.
Could the differences be worked out this way?
1) The Wyoming Milita et al totaled over 240
2) OF this number 174 were killed {includes a few who were captured and killed a day or so prior to the battle}
3) The Difference of 53 additional scalps is that they could have been taken from either/and the unmustered volunteers and possibly the civilian refugees who died in the "Shades of Death" Swamp from exposure and exhaustion {not from Butler's Forces}-allegedly about "200".
