Found the MA Historical Website you mentioned.
Even though it is now clarified that the "B o A" were not at Groton, still it does remain the possibly that they were a 'Voluntary" unit-possibly of the "Africian Lodge" and thus with the exception of George Middleton no names are known. On the Other hand in CT blacks from Hartford joined-prehaps there are some obscure records that confirm
they were members of the "B o A" as well-I once came across a MA County History that reported a Africian American was a "Servant" at Bunker Hill-and no other source for service!
