[Gen'l Info] 7th cavalrymen killed photos?

Reprotably during the mid 1860's after the Civil War there were photograghs taken of dead 7th US Cavalrymen.
In one an englishmen who had enlisted with the 7th US Cavalry was killed in Kansas by Native Americans just outside an Fort and his body was literally pincusioned by arrows-at least one-maybe two-photograghs was taken of his arrowed remains.
ALso in at least one Western History there is a photogragh taken in Dodge City Kansas of two dead cavalrymen lying outside a saloon {Reportably 7th Cav}. The only difference is that in one a young child is looking at the bodies.
What were the stories behind these pictures?
