Both have been used to illustrate popular Western history.

I remember seeing the pictures of the dead soldiers outside the saloon but donít have a source.

The US Army Field Artillery Center and Fort Sill Museum is the source of the photo of the soldier pierced by arrows. There was also an engraving in Frank Leslieís Illustrated Newspaper of 17 August 1867. Contact the Denver Public Library, Western History Department.

Have no background on either but the sources may help you.
