One more thing: If you have not firmly decided where your research files, notes, etc. will go after your death, do consider leaving them to the US Military History Institute in Carlisle, PA. They have built a very modern, efficient, spacious research library, which I visited recently. Also, consider setting aside enough money to ship them there, since I don't know if the Army has any funds for that.

If you don't specify what will happen to the fruits of all your research labor, they may well find their way only to the nearest trash can.
