John, I had noted the name as "Caroline," although see that the name is "Carolina" on the museum accession card. Unfortunately, there were steamers of both names, and not just one each, to choose from. For the moment, I suppose we stick to the info on the card. (No indication of older info from Steuart notations.)

I will see if additional info is available, but an item on exhibit and secured within a display case is often more difficult to have someone get to than one not on exhibition. In the latter case, a request for a reserved time to "see" the object seems preferred.

Tks, too, for clarification of WD vs. WO, for I had puzzled over that as well.
