[Uniforms] Stockbridge Mohicans of F&I

Hi,

I am doing some reserach for a living history portrayal but am having trouble, I thought to turn to some learned folk for some help...My question is what would be an accurate appreance for a Stockbridge Mohican serving with Rogers Rangers? Would they look more "white" than Native? Breeches and hats? Leggings, paint, scalplocks? I haven't found any solid info either way. I know Loudon made some suggestion at the time that the Natives were to dress in their traditional attire so as to inspire fear in the French...Did they do this? Or were they more faithful to their Chirstian teachings and appreared more like "civilized" Eurpeans while in the field? Any help apprecaited..Thank You
