I, too, echo the sentiments of my fellow members - thank you very much for your efforts. They are appreciated.
Regarding your question: I suggest you contact these dealers whom I recommend very highly for their knowledge and honesty.
First is Jeff Shrader at Advance Guard Militaria. He is very knowledgeable on many facets of the militaria collecting hobby and sells items from all periods. Email is: email@example.com.
The other individual is Hayes Otoupalik. Hayes, too, sells items from all periods and is very knowledgeable. His email address is: Hayesotoupalik@aol.com.
Both maintain personal collections and have contacts throughout the world. If they can't help you directly, there's a good chance they can put you in contact with someone who can.
As far as museums go, I can highly recommend the Virginia War Museum. They maintain an excellent collection of uniforms and weapons which trace the military history of the United States. Recently they and The Company have formed closer ties in an effort to preserve and display the collection of uniforms owned by The Company. Their email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org. Mr. John Quarstein, Administrator of Museums and Historic Services, is very friendly and helpful. If he can't answer your questions, he can probably put you in touch with someone who can.
