Tour of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park; Evening reception and Banquet
The programs have been printed, and tote bags and badge holders have been shipped. I have hired a private security company beginning 1500 15 May through 1000 18 May.
One of the speakers, John Westermeyer, a federal employee, has cancelled due to travel restrictions. I have an alternate speaker in place. Buses for Friday evening and all day Saturday have been contracted.
Food for the MoHHC reception has been ordered and a bartender has been hired. Beer and wine have not yet been ordered. Food for Thursday evening reception has been planned, but not yet finalized with the hotel. This must be done by 15 April. Lunches for the Saturday field trips will be ordered from SubWay.

The 2025 Annual meeting will be in Chattanooga 15 – 17 May 2025 at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Tours the Chickamauga Battlefield and the Medal of Honor Heritage Center plus a great roster of speakers addressing a variety of topics.
Headquarters for the 2025 CMH meeting will be at the Embassy Suites, located just off of the Shallowford Road Exit of Interstate-75, and just four miles from the Chattanooga Regional Airport. Accommodations are two room suites with a choice of Double Queen or Single King Beds. The rate is quite reasonable and includes daily “to order” breakfast from the kitchen of the Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

The rate is $149 plus tax and includes ordering breakfast from the kitchen of the Ruth Chris Steak House. All accommodations are two room suites with a choice of either two queen beds or a single King The Thursday evening reception features hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. James Ogden, Historian at Chattanooga Chickamauga National Battlefield Park will present us with an overview of The Battle of Chickamauga The plenary session will be on Friday. Speakers include Thomas Crawford on artillery ordnance; Gordon Blaker on the evolution of artillery; David Hardin on Camp Thomas in the Span-Am War; Mark Hacala on early enlisted US Navy uniforms; James Kochan on early US Army uniforms, and several more outstanding speakers and topics. Saturday is Touring Day. Visits to The History Company and Chickamauga Chattanooga National Memorial Visitors Center exhibits with the famous Fuller Firearms Collection, and a tour of the Chickamauga Battlefield highlight the tour. The formal banquet is Saturday evening with three meal selections from which you may choose. An organized post meeting tour has not been planned, however, there are several self-guided options that we can recommend. We are looking forward to seeing many of you in Chattanooga so mark your calendar.
