Fort Leavenworth Visit, February 2018
The annual Leavenworth, Kansas, military show in February 2018 was an occasion for a few Central Plains members and guests to gather to discuss the next field trip in the spring. In the picture the third from the right is not a Central Plains Chapter member but is suspected to be a visiting member of an unidentified New England chapter, who heard how good the Leavenworth show is and crashed the party. The consensus of those present was to visit the Civil War battlefield of Mine Creek, Kansas, a forerunner of the larger Battle of Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
